Schedule I v0.4.7 Open Beta Overhauls Avatar System and Adds Special Customer Groups
Schedule I update v0.4.7 arrives with a ground-up rebuild of the avatar appearance system, four new special customer groups, and the Hyland Medical interior. The update also bumps laundering capacities for several businesses and brings numerous performance fixes.
Schedule I has launched the v0.4.7 open beta, introducing a complete rewrite of how character appearances work alongside a massive influx of new NPCs, locations, and system optimizations. The update lays the groundwork for user-created cosmetics while expanding the world with new retail options and quality-of-life adjustments.
Avatar System Overhaul
The avatar appearance system has been rebuilt from scratch to support future user-created cosmetics. Accessories and layers are now replaced by AvatarObjects, which support multiple layers and attachments. AvatarSettings are removed in favor of NakedAppearance and Outfit. Playing an existing save automatically converts legacy appearances to the new format, but switching back to the default game version will cause converted appearances to fail to load properly.
New Customers and Locations
Four special customer groups now populate the world: Hippies, Party Bus attendees, Businessmen, and Bikers, each equipped with distinct behaviours like talking on the phone, vomiting, or revving motorcycles. Hyland Medical is added as a new interior and purchasable business, accompanied by new teleports to southoverpass, suburbia, park, westville, and the casino. Hardware stores and boutiques also stock new rugs, clothing items, hairstyles, and facial hair.
Economy and Laundering Adjustments
Business laundering capacities have been increased across multiple locations. The post office limit moves from 4,000 to 5,000, the car wash rises from 6,000 to 8,000, and Taco Ticklers increases from 8,000 to 12,000. Additionally, the corporate plaza has been expanded.
Performance and Technical Fixes
Late-game performance receives a boost as stored items are now pooled instead of instantiated and destroyed, mitigating stuttering in saves with many employees. Icon generation for mixed products is optimized to save hundreds of megabytes of memory, and NPC physics ragdolls are now created only when needed to cut down physics overhead.
Why this patch matters
The v0.4.7 open beta is a heavy structural update that fixes persistent late-game stutter while overhauling the avatar system for future cosmetic support.
