Schedule I Open Beta v0.4.7 Introduces Special Customer Groups and Avatar Overhaul
The Open Beta for Schedule I v0.4.7 adds four travelling customer groups, a complete avatar system rebuild, new clothing and hairstyles, and increased business laundering capacities. Players can also purchase Hyland Medical as a new business.
The open beta for Schedule I version 0.4.7 rolls out a sweeping set of additions centered around new customer groups, an entirely rewritten avatar customization framework, and performance tweaks for late-game saves.
Travelling Customer Groups and Business Updates
Four new customer groups—Hippies, Party Bus, Businessmen, and Bikers—now visit town periodically to buy large quantities of specific drugs. These groups feature specific named individuals and custom NPC behaviors like using laptops, sitting on the ground, dancing, vomiting, and revving motorcycles. Hyland Medical is added as a purchasable business, accompanied by schedule adjustments for nearby NPCs. Business laundering capacities increase across three locations: the Post Office rises from 4000 to 5000, the Car Wash goes from 6000 to 8000, and Taco Ticklers increases from 8000 to 12000.
Avatar System Rebuild and New Cosmetics
The avatar appearance system is rebuilt from scratch, replacing legacy accessories and layers with AvatarObjects that contain multiple layers and attachments. AvatarSettings are replaced with NakedAppearance and Outfit settings. A wide array of new apparel and accessories join the game, including aviators, tinted glasses, beer hats, helmets, bandanas, ties, a leather jacket, tie-dye shirts, and tank tops. Players can also choose new hairstyles like The businessman, poofy wavy, and long wavy, alongside new facial hair options such as mutton chops, full beards, and various mustaches. Black rubber mats and Persian rugs are added to stores, and new teleport locations are placed at south overpass, suburbia, park, westville, and casino.
Performance Tweaks and Bug Fixes
Late-game performance sees multiple improvements, including item pooling for stored items to reduce employee-heavy stuttering and memory optimizations for mixed product icons and graffiti undo functions. NPC ragdoll physics are delayed until needed to prevent unnecessary overhead. Numerous bug fixes address multiplayer physics sync errors, dress shoe clipping, sleeping logic, frame drops when pouring liquids, and skateboard prompt persistence.
Why this patch matters
The v0.4.7 open beta lays technical groundwork for future user-created cosmetics while expanding gameplay loops with travelling buyer groups and updated business laundering caps.
