PEAK. Patch v2.4.c Adds Bookworm Badge Workaround and Fixes Lag

PEAK. patch v2.4.c fixes the Bookworm badge reset bug and introduces a temporary emote workaround for affected players. The update also removes amulet cooking, fixes late-run lag, and stops several inventory and movement exploits.

PEAK. patch v2.4.c addresses progression issues with the Bookworm badge and implements a manual workaround for players who lost progress. The update also closes several gameplay exploits involving item swapping and lava stamina.

Badge and Progression Fixes

The Bookworm Badge no longer resets progress at the start of every run, and guidebook scrolls remain visible when opened. Players who previously earned the badge can use a temporary workaround by opening their guidebook to the second page and performing the salute emote. The Aeronautics Badge can no longer be acquired by other lobby members fulfilling requirements, and the Daredevil Badge unlock requirement now functions correctly.

Gameplay and Exploit Patches

Amulets can no longer be cooked. Placing items into backpacks on the ground now correctly updates weight calculations. Climbing no longer triggers when carried by a condor, preventing players from being teleported back to walls upon release. The Play Dead emote now locks item switching to prevent a fall damage exploit, lava flows no longer grant stamina when hitting players to enable extended climbs, and other players taking poison damage now correctly flash purple.

Quality of Life and Bug Fixes

Longer runs no longer suffer from sudden lag spikes. Invalid room codes no longer trap players on loading screens. The Rescue Claw crosshair now turns yellow when hovering over players instead of terrain, snowstorm intensity is reduced in Photosensitive Mode, and the title screen returns permanently to the beach. Localization and text UI improvements are applied throughout the game.
