Pax Autocratica Directive OT-16 Adds Base Customization and Combat Squad Controls

Pax Autocratica Directive OT-16 introduces custom flag and building colors, independent squad commands, and extensive balance changes for cores and high-level enemies.

Directive OT-16 brings quality-of-life additions, combat tuning, and visual improvements to Pax Autocratica. Leaders can personalize bases down to building colors and flag designs, take direct control of separate ship squads in battle, and experience balance adjustments across weapons and upgrade cores.

Base Customization and Quality of Life

Leaders gain customization tools for installations. Flag emblems, background colors, and borders can be modified, applying changes across base buildings and select decorations. Buildings feature customizable main colors, and elevated foundations support direct snapping. A First-Person Camera Height setting allows viewpoint adjustments, while a Vignette setting lets players control screen-edge darkening. Main menus add a Continue option to load the most recent save instantly, and the Soldier Training Center filters out soldiers who fail to meet building level requirements.

Combat and Squad Management

Combat features a Squad Command mechanic that lets Leaders separately command soldiers on each ship during engagements. Elite units consume two deployment slots, while Bosses take four. Infested Nest battles feature randomized combat objectives. AI behavior and strength scale up at higher difficulty levels, while enemy density and spawn locations see tweaks in specific encounters. Tank target-acquisition logic is improved, and red danger battles feature better Core chest placement and trigger timing.

Core and Weapon Adjustments

Numerous combat cores receive tuning. Crisis Resilience II increases damage reduction and shortens cooldowns. Light Armament Boost raises damage bonuses, and Electric-Bouncer variants gain increased jump counts and damage. Red Tether Protocol greatly increases trigger chance and duration while reducing speed bonuses, and now states its stack limit of ten. Grenade-Missile Core increases damage and cuts cooldowns. Sacrifice cores for Bouncers, Missiles, Toxic Fog, and Black Holes receive targeted damage and area buffs.

Economy and Drops

Soldier items receive attribute and drop mechanic improvements, alongside higher food material drop rates. Material requirements for Wood Harvest Plant upgrades are adjusted. Potions and ammunition drop rates are rebalanced across different difficulty tiers, and merchant ship arrival timing at Trading Posts is smoothed out. Drone hauling capacity now respects custom difficulty configurations.

Bug Fixes and Stability

The patch resolves memory leaks to reduce overall memory usage and improves rendering stability for FSR, DLSS, and Frame Generation. Fixes address chests dropping outside playable areas, Laser Rifles failing to penetrate allied units, and vehicle control lockouts when entering a vehicle while dashing. Stuttering reload animations, frozen screens when electrocuting prisoners, and various crash triggers are also eliminated.

Why this patch matters

Directive OT-16 delivers visual personalization alongside stability fixes and targeted core balancing, giving players control over base aesthetics and high-level combat encounters.
