Mechabellum v2.0.0.4 Patch Notes and Balance Changes
Mechabellum v2.0.0.4 adjusts Standard Versus tech costs and alters player HP modifiers for specific starter packs. The update also removes rank 3 Vortex drops from early rounds and fixes several technical issues.
A new balance update for Mechabellum targets Standard Versus mode with cost adjustments for tech options and direct changes to starter pack player HP modifiers. Developers released this interim patch to address community feedback following the 2.0 launch while larger updates remain in development.
Tech Cost Adjustments
Void Eye tech cost increases from 100 to 150 supply because its previous price was too low following recent base stat buffs. Vortex tech cost drops significantly from 200 to 50 supply to correct an overly conservative initial pricing. Sabertooth tech receives a cost reduction from 200 to 100 supply alongside a damage increase from 2000 to 2500.
Starter Pack HP Modifiers
Starter packs containing Void Eye receive HP nerfs to address high win rates despite average overall unit performance. Specific starter pack health modifiers change from +200 to 0, +200 to -100, and +300 to +500. Conversely, starter packs featuring Vortex receive health buffs with modifiers shifting from 0 to +100, +200 to +400, and +400 to +600 to compensate for underperformance.
Unit Drops and Technical Fixes
Rank 3 Vortex units no longer appear in unit drops during rounds two through four. The patch also resolves a bug preventing certain units from receiving correct reinforcement card buffs, addresses leaderboards performance, and fixes data and unit animation errors.
Why this patch matters
This patch targets specific outliers in Standard Versus mode, rebalancing high-performing Void Eye starter packs while giving cheaper access to Vortex and Sabertooth tech.
