Mechabellum Update 1.0.1 Adjusts Unit Balance and Combat Power

Mechabellum update 1.0.1 brings the first post-launch balance adjustments, a reworked Combat Power system, a new Grandmaster rank, and additional seasonal rewards. The patch also reduces memory usage and lowers costs for several units.

Mechabellum version 1.0.1 arrives to recalibrate unit balance after launch and overhaul the Combat Power system. The update introduces a Grandmaster league, expands seasonal rewards, and reduces the memory footprint of the game.

Combat Power and Ranks

The Combat Power algorithm is updated to significantly reduce rating loss following a defeat. Because players will grow their combat power faster under this system, additional seasonal rewards are available to collect. A new Grandmaster League is also added to the game.

Unit Balance Adjustments

Typhoon cost increases from 300 to 400, and shield HP drops from 10000 per rank to 8000 per rank to delay its effectiveness into the late game. Overlord range rises from 120 to 140, but damage decreases from 11000 per rank to 4000 per rank. Stormcaller attack power drops by 6 percent from 834 to 784, and Crawler HP is reduced by 30 percent.

Stat Tweaks and Adjustments

Fortress HP and attack drop by 3 percent. Marksman attack bonus decreases from 20 percent per rank to 17 percent per rank. Vulcan HP falls by 4 percent. Melting Point speed bonus rises from 3 to 5. Steel Ball no longer loses range. Arclight attack bonus drops from 25 percent per rank to 22 percent per rank. Scorpion HP falls by 5 percent.

Unit Cost Reductions

Fire Badger costs decrease from 300 to 200 for one option and from 250 to 200 for another. Tarantula cost drops from 200 to 150. Memory usage is further reduced, and minor display bugs are fixed.

Why this patch matters

Update 1.0.1 targets oppressive late-game combinations by scaling back specific unit stats while making niche choices more affordable and smoothing out the competitive ladder.
