Mechabellum 1.0 Update Overhauls Balance, Adds Seasons, and Refines Visuals

Mechabellum launches its 1.0 update featuring competitive seasons, a revamped rank system, unit balance changes, and visual optimizations.

Mechabellum arrives at its 1.0 release with an update that introduces competitive seasons, unit balance tweaks, UI shortcuts, and visual upgrades. The patch resets combat power and insight to align with the new seasonal structure while rewarding players with early access cosmetics.

Competitive Seasons and Rank System

Competitive seasons run on a three-month rotation, with Season 1 launching on September 26 at 15:00 UTC. At the start of each season, player Combat Power and Insight reset to 1, while MMR resets to 90 percent of its original value. The game issues medals, credits, and season points based on previous performance. Players can select different leagues by raising their Combat Power and choose to hide their MMR in settings. Career statistics pages are also available.

Unit Balance Adjustments

Base health, attack power, and costs are modified across multiple units. War Factory health drops from 166,798 to 146,782, its damage to player HP decreases to 500, and its cost increases from 50 to 200. Fortress, Vulcan, Melting Point, Overlord, and Sandworm damage to player HP drops to 350. Vulcan health decreases to 37,561, and its rank-up EXP requirement rises by 10 percent. Steel Ball rank-up EXP requirements increase by 15 percent. Stormcaller attack decreases to 834, and its cost drops to 150. Fire Badger health drops to 5,184, its effective time decreases to 15 seconds, and a tech reduces its health by 40 percent while offering a 100 percent attack increase. Tarantula health drops to 15,631 and its cost decreases to 150. Multiple unit variants and tech nodes receive adjustments to range, cost, and stat bonuses.

Interface Shortcuts and Performance

Players can use the U key to promote a selected unit, or press Ctrl plus U to promote all units of the same type. Inappropriate content filtering options include No Filtering, Loose Filtering, and Strict Filtering. The maximum friends list capacity expands from 100 to 300. Memory usage is reduced for performance optimization. During matches, the background music stops during the final 10 seconds of a round, replaced by a ticking clock sound effect.

Visual Overhauls and New Specialists

Map visuals receive improvements alongside new art for specialist avatars and fortified core buildings. Two new specialists debut: the Fire Badger Specialist grants a free Rank 1 Fire Badger on round two, and the Typhoon Specialist awards a free Rank 1 Typhoon on round three. Early access participants receive exclusive skins, an avatar, an avatar frame, and chat emoticons.
