Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades Update 116 Patch 2 Adds Slingshot and Fixes Bugs
Anton Hand is back with a new patch for Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, bringing an all-new physics-ready slingshot, score-softlock prevention, and a raft of bug fixes for weapons and explosives. The update targets leftover backlog issues from the start of the year.
Developer Anton Hand has released Update 116 Patch 2 for Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, introducing a versatile new physics-based slingshot alongside a series of mechanical fixes and quality-of-life adjustments. The update focuses on clearing out lingering bug reports from early January.
New Weapon and Combat Additions
The new Slingshot has been added under the Exotic Weapons category. It is an openly implemented physics tool capable of launching almost any pickup object in the game, such as shurikens, grenades, swords, guns, and even sosig heads. Additionally, firing the Mortar while your head is positioned above the muzzle plane now triggers full sonic and visual explosive reaction effects.
Explosive Mechanics and Weapon Fixes
The RGO impact fuse now counts down correctly after the lever is released even if the grenade is held. Several weapon errors were addressed, including missing audio impact controllers on shuriken, horizontal alignment issues on the BOYS AT rifle, M203 mount geometry on the XM177e2, and missing cocked hammers on the Arbiter 2 in Streamline Control Mode. The NTW20 scope menu trigger received correct layering and a larger size, while the CZ52 fixed safety orientation, slide trigger collider, and M1900 last round behavior were also corrected.
Interface and Soft Lock Prevention
A Go Back One Room button has been added to the scoreboard to prevent soft locks on specific difficulties. The Item Manifest for the item spawner has been updated for items new in updates U113 through U116, and incorrect metadata descriptions for certain grenades have been corrected.
Why this patch matters
Update 116 Patch 2 delivers a fun sandbox toy via the new slingshot while tidying up persistent weapon metadata and explosive timing issues.
