Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades Update 114 Experimental Build 7 Patch Notes

H3VR Experimental Build 7 updates laser and light attachment controls, introduces the M231 Firing Port Weapon, and revises flashlight menus.

Anton Hand has released Update 114 Experimental Build 7 for Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, completing the laser and light attachment UI and controls overhaul while adding a new firearm.

Laser and Light Controls

Attachment controls are updated so that a short press cycles modes or toggles standalone flashlights, while a long press of about half a second opens the settings menu. Laser and light menus now use a square format to accommodate rotation and auto-orient when enabled. Standalone flashlight long presses now cycle intensity.

Weapons and Equipment

Added the M231 Firing Port Weapon. Laser attachments 1-5, along with compact flashlights 1 and 2, Kleshflashlight, Scout Flashlight, Sureglow Flashlight, and Tactical Flashlight, now use the latest systems.

Fixes and API Changes

Fixed night vision scope visibility in the spectator cam, corrected incorrect object visibility inside NV scopes, and resolved a bug where sights failed to spawn in Take and Hold with the DMR15. The broken 2x50mm projectile for the Hiro-Enki Railgun, flashlight shaders, and W330 physical scope manipulation are also fixed. API additions include open bolt dust cover audio event functionality.

Why this patch matters

This experimental build streamlines attachment handling with intuitive short-press and long-press inputs, cleaning up usability friction for tactical gear testing.
