Helldivers 2 Patch v01.001.104 Details Weapon Tweaks and Enemy Fixes

Arrowhead Game Studios has released patch v01.001.104 for Helldivers 2, concluding its 60-day community commitment with extensive weapon balancing, armor adjustments, and fixes for Automaton line-of-sight issues.

Arrowhead Game Studios has deployed patch v01.001.104 for Helldivers 2, wrapping up its 60-day community commitment. This update brings widespread changes to weapons, stratagems, armor values, patrol spawning mechanics, and enemy AI behavior.

Weapon and Stratagem Adjustments

Several primary weapons and support stratagems receive significant handling and damage adjustments. The PLAS-101 Purifier gains a charged damage multiplier, while the PLAS-1 Scorcher adds an auto-fire mode and a magazine increase to 20 rounds. The AC-8 Autocannon and GR-8 Recoilless Rifle receive programmable ammunition options to switch projectile types. Secondary weapons including the P-113 Verdict and P-4 Senator have increased armor penetration values. Furthermore, ricochets have been removed from Orbital Stratagem projectiles, Eagle-1 bombs, and FAF-14 Spear missiles.

Armor and Defensive Tweaks

Heavy and Light armor classes receive defensive tuning. Heavy armor now reduces incoming damage by 25 percent, up from 20 percent. Light armor increases incoming damage by 25 percent, down from a previous 33 percent increase. The FX-12 Shield Generator Relay removes its charge delay, increases its health regeneration rate to 400 health per second, and expands its radius to 15 meters.

Automaton AI and Combat Fixes

Automaton enemies no longer shoot through walls or track players through smoke without proper line of sight. Small projectile damage from enemies like Devastators and Scout Striders drops from 40 to 35, and heavy projectile damage drops from 65 to 60. Hulk Bruisers revert back to using rocket launchers. Tank rear weak spots now feature dedicated health pools matching the tank's total health, destroying the unit when depleted and dealing up to 200 percent damage to the main health pool.

Patrol Spawning and Terminid Updates

Post-mission patrol spawns are now concentrated around extraction sites rather than blanketing the entire map after a primary objective is complete. For Terminids, Bile and Nursing Spewers have their leg health reduced from 300 to 200. Hunters and Scavengers can now explode when dealt sufficient damage.

Sentry and Stratagem Upgrades

Machine Gun, Gatling, Rocket, and Autocannon sentries all feature reduced cooldowns to 150 seconds and reduced operational lifespans of 150 seconds. The LIFT-850 Jump Pack has its cooldown reduced to 15 seconds alongside stronger thrust force. The AX-12 Guard Dog now utilizes Liberator Penetrator rounds with increased armor penetration.

Why this patch matters

Patch v01.001.104 delivers substantive changes to weapon utility and enemy logic, directly addressing core community feedback from the 60-day development initiative.
