Dead by Daylight Patch 10.2.1 Adds Surrender Options and Launches Haunted By Daylight

Dead by Daylight patch 10.2.1 introduces match-ending concession options for survivors and killers under specific bot conditions alongside the start of the Haunted By Daylight event. The update also addresses dozens of character, perk, and map bugs.

Behaviour Interactive has released a mid-chapter update for Dead by Daylight. Version 10.2.1 brings quality-of-life adjustments for matches involving bots, kicks off the Haunted By Daylight event, and resolves a list of audio, character, and perk issues.

Match Control and Event Content

When human players are left alone with bots, remaining survivors now receive a surrender option instead of an abandon prompt. Killers can similarly choose to end a trial when all remaining survivors are bots. Meanwhile, the Haunted By Daylight event has officially begun. While previous Void tiles are gone, Void Portals and roaming Haunts now spawn in all trials to hinder survivors. Players can collect Void Energy throughout matches to spend on event abilities immediately without crafting inside the Void.

Character Fixes and Power HUD

Killer powers that use stack counts, such as Trickster and Huntress, now display 0 on the HUD when empty instead of showing a looping arrow icon. The Mastermind's Virulent Bound redirection has been adjusted. Numerous visual glitches were resolved, including stretching faces on The Judgment's Mori animation, facial distortions on The Dark Lord during pickups, and an issue where The Ghost Face could be revealed without most of the killer model being visible on screen.

Perk and Environment Adjustments

The Potential Energy perk no longer stops adding tokens when skill checks appeared. The Trickster's interaction with the Save the Best for Last perk now correctly loses two tokens instead of four when injuring the Obsession with Showstopper. Map fixes address navigation bugs and unpickable survivors near park benches in Disturbed Ward, missing collision on stairs in Family Residence, and hidden traps under debris.

Why this patch matters

Version 10.2.1 provides technical cleanup for Dead by Daylight while streamlining bot-heavy matches and rolling out seasonal event content.
