Wild Life Development Update Details Sky Village and Animation Overhauls

The Wild Life development update outlines progress on Sky Village level design, animation blueprints, tutorial systems, and NPC outfit transfers. The team is also reworking the Feral Lion model and distributing world loot.

The Wild Life development team outlines its weekly progress report, highlighting ongoing work across level design, core animation systems, character mechanics, and sandbox tutorials.

Level Design and Environment Work

Collaboration with freelance concept artists continues to overhaul the look of the Sky Village. Alpha Camp blockout A is progressing well, with main buildings implemented alongside collision optimizations and asset modeling. Flora blockouts are mostly finished, leaving only gameplay-relevant collectable plant items to be added.

Animation Blueprints and Sandbox Tutorials

The technical side of the new animation blueprint is finished, incorporating weapon draw and sheathing, rotational turning, torch holding, and item interactions. Emotion layers are now transferred to all character skeletons, enabling expressive dialogue for every character including the Kerpali. Additionally, the first version of five sandbox tutorials is complete, covering the edit mode interface, camera controls, object handling, sex scene creation, and prop tools.

Character Models and Item Distribution

Outfit transfers for remaining NPCs are roughly eighty percent complete. A character artist is currently sculpting an improved model for the Feral Lion, while Arac enemy animations are finished and handed over for combat implementation. Designers are also distributing limited world items, such as upgrade materials and weapons, across enemy drops, chests, and merchants.

Why this patch matters

Development focuses on foundational systems, expanding animation frameworks, and populating the world with items and encounters.
