Wild Life December 2024 Development Update Outlines Combat and Level Progress
Wild Life's final 2024 development update details level blockouts, combat tweaks, sandbox camera features, and enemy animation work.
The Wild Life team has published its final progress report of 2024, detailing ongoing holiday development efforts across levels, combat design, and character customization before team members break for the holidays.
Level Design and Environment
The level department finished the blockout B state for Apoc and began improvements on surrounding canyon landscape areas. Alpha Camp models received polish and collision fixes.
Combat and Sandbox Features
Designers and coders collaborated on combat system improvements, adding a new spear weapon with faster move sets. Sandbox camera options expanded to include exposure settings, vignettes, and color grading tools.
Characters and Animations
Artists worked on upgrading older character hairstyles to match the current visual style and created a full-cover fantasy knight outfit. The Gobbler and Hyena enemies are now in a fight-able state awaiting balance tuning, while work continued on the Feral Bull enemy.
