Well Dweller Patch Delivers Missing Trinket Fixes and Quality-of-Life Updates

A new patch for Well Dweller rectifies missing lost spirit trinket rewards, corrects spa healing inconsistencies, and tweaks the Innkeeper chase on easy difficulty. The update also addresses various soft locks, shop pricing errors, and menu navigation quirks.

Developer Kyle has deployed a substantial patch for Well Dweller, targeting a long list of inventory bugs, combat inconsistencies, and progression traps. The update brings several quality-of-life adjustments alongside necessary fixes.

Inventory and Progress Fixes

Players who missed out on trinket rewards for returning lost spirits should now find the items automatically added to their inventory upon loading a save. This issue previously occurred if players left a room before collecting the reward. Other progression fixes ensure healing during flawless challenge runs no longer incorrectly ends the fight, shop prices display accurately, and the Melted Candle trinket functions reliably when upgraded. Additionally, a leftover debug prompt that bypassed the Looter storyline has been excised.

Movement, Maps, and Boss Encounters

Teleporting now correctly refills flaming vessels. Spa water restores health as intended, and the stone ball in Autumn Forest no longer wedges itself inside platforms. Several changes aim to prevent soft locks during the Dollmaker boss fight, and the Innkeeper chase now features checkpoints on easy difficulty. The in-game timer no longer advances while navigating the main menu, and the map screen is blocked while on the title screen. Map icons no longer display a confusing lock symbol after defeating the queen unless starting a fresh game.

Achievements and Translations

Teleporting or saving and exiting during the bog campfire scene no longer locks players out of an associated achievement; loading into a save file will now trigger the unlock. Missing glyphs in the Traditional Chinese localization and overall Japanese text have been updated.

Why this patch matters

This patch successfully mends frustrating progression blockers and missing rewards, making standard playthroughs and completionist runs much more reliable.
