War Thunder has rolled out update v2.59.0.62, bringing changes to audio mixing inside aircraft cockpits and expanding objective layouts across multiple maps. The patch also addresses a client freeze risk tied to window switching.
Audio and Vehicle Changes
Opening an aircraft or helicopter cockpit in flight now causes the sound of rushing airflow to completely drown out other audio sources, such as engines and missiles. Previously, this behavior was controlled by the engine volume slider. Additionally, Indonesian ground vehicle crews have received dedicated voice lines, and the Harimau has received a new engine sound.
Missions and Technical Fixes
Bombing bases are now present in Air Superiority missions across Britain, Kursk, Malta, Mozdok, winter Stalingrad, Vietnam, and Smolensk. On the technical side, the update resolves an incorrect foam and spray visual effect beneath firing ship guns, and fixes a potential client freeze issue that occurred after using Alt+Tab.
