War Thunder Update v2.43.0.98 Fixes Radar Angles, Scopes, and Armor Values

Gaijin Entertainment has released update v2.43.0.98 for War Thunder, fixing aircraft decal placement, missing rocket armor penetration values, and radar tracking angles. The patch also resolves persistent engine smoke bugs and eliminates interface looping errors.

Gaijin Entertainment has pushed update v2.43.0.98 for War Thunder, addressing community bug reports concerning aircraft, ground vehicles, graphics, and user interfaces.

Aircraft Adjustments

F-15 variants receive a fix for an issue that prevented decals from applying to one side of the air intakes. Su-25 and Su-25K aircraft now correctly display armor penetration values for Kh-25, S-25OF, and S-25OFM rockets.

Ground Vehicle and Radar Fixes

Radar search angles for the Osa-AKM and ItO 90M now match correctly between the X-ray menu and live battles, alongside fixes for targeting tracking angle displays in the radar interface. The Khrizantema-S ground vehicle no longer fires only the second missile instead of the first guided missile after acquiring an enemy target. Developers also fixed a bug that caused destroyed vehicles to continue emitting engine exhaust smoke.

Custom Scopes and Graphics

A bug involving custom scopes where new ranges displayed instantly without delay is now resolved. Graphics adjustments fix low-flying clouds in aircraft missions that obstructed landings and attacks, and correct water reflections under rainy and foggy weather conditions with ray tracing enabled.

Interface Corrections

The user interface no longer triggers a looping Processing operation message when clicking on vehicles that have been removed from research within the convertible research points window.

Why this patch matters

Update v2.43.0.98 resolves several persistent interface loops, radar discrepancies, and visual bugs reported directly by the player base.
