War Thunder Update 2.45.0.28 Fixes Spectator Markers and Ray Tracing Glitches

War Thunder update 2.45.0.28 resolves missing spectator markers in Air Realistic Battles and eliminates visual artifacts caused by the ray tracing denoiser. The patch also corrects inaccurate ammunition stat cards for torpedoes, HESH, and the MH-60L DAP.

Gaijin Entertainment has rolled out War Thunder update 2.45.0.28, targeting specific visual bugs, interface inaccuracies, and spectator issues. The patch addresses community-submitted bug reports from official forums and tracking services, focusing primarily on clarity in vehicle statistics and stability in graphical rendering.

Visual and Ray Tracing Fixes

Graphical errors tied to the ray tracing denoiser are now resolved. Buildings no longer display bright colored artifacts, and reflections of explosions on glass appear correctly without unintended discoloration. Additionally, the harsh halo effect appearing on object edges against ray-traced water backgrounds is reduced. In locations, a texturing error that caused rock textures to display incorrectly on specific sand dunes in the Second battle of El Alamein map has been fixed.

Interface and Stat Card Corrections

Several weapon stat cards have received corrections. The MH-60L DAP now displays cumulative jet penetration correctly on the LR30 shell stat card. Torpedo stat cards now include drop speed and altitude range data. Furthermore, an error that incorrectly labeled HESH shell penetration as cumulative has been fixed. In the interface, the fade animation for crew slot context menus is removed, and gamepad users can now open context menus from crew areas reliably. Award icons in the Achievements profile tab also display correctly once more.

Gameplay and Spectator Quality of Life

Air Realistic Battles spectators will now see ally and enemy markers properly. Replays are also updated to display the correct positioning of aircraft turrets even when they are not actively firing.

Why this patch matters

Update 2.45.0.28 cleans up visual artifacts and stat card errors, making it easier to read ammunition capabilities at a glance while restoring core spectator visibility.
