Wandering Sword Update Addresses Quest Progression, Combat Stats, and Auto-Saves

Wandering Sword receives a comprehensive update featuring numerous quest bug fixes, skill description corrections, retroactive affection adjustments, and critical battle auto-saves.

A substantial update for Wandering Sword rolls out broad bug fixes, mechanical clarifications, and quality-of-life adjustments. The patch targets broken quest triggers, misbehaving skill buffs, and missing checkpoints during major confrontations.

Quest and Progression Corrections

The Destruction of the Beggars' Sect Branch event now correctly returns equipment to the protagonist's inventory when Mo Wen leaves the party. The Beggars' Sect battle will no longer trigger repeatedly if players enter the Southern Border prematurely. Other fixes resolve broken triggers in the Return to Wuxian Sect and Thwarting Evil quests, incorrect NPC duplicates during the Shaolin Sword Duel, and dialogue errors involving Cheng Yu and Dao Tong. The Scorpion Death quest trigger conditions are improved to reduce missed Southern Border missions, and Mo Li can now be properly unlocked by completing Shang Tingning's treatment mission.

Combat Mechanics and Buff Fixes

Several skill effects and passive buffs receive corrections. The Hidden Weapon Bane effect now functions properly, and the Sword Bane damage reduction now applies correctly to Tianji Palace Swordplay techniques. Skill descriptions for Iron Palm Strike, Three Enclosures' Force, Jade Dragon Method, and Timeless Seasonal Method are updated for clarity, ensuring displayed statistics match actual in-game behavior. Affection points for Nawu and Gu Sigui after completing the Flying Scorpion mission increase from 10 to 20, applying retroactively to existing saves.

Checkpoints and Interface Improvements

Important auto-saves are now added before and during key narrative clashes, including consecutive tournament bouts, the second Yin-Yang Array battle in the Hall of Eternal Life, and final encounters against Bai Weiyi. Manual saves now display a system notification upon completion, inventory cleanup automatically removes obsolete pure quest items upon submission, and the system bar retract arrow is restored to the top-right corner.

Why this patch matters

This update remedies several critical progression blockers and confusing stat discrepancies, creating a more reliable journey through Wandering Sword.
