Voidface v1.1.2 Update Adds Native Linux Support

Voidface v1.1.2 arrives with native Linux support, Steam Deck performance fixes, and three new languages. The update also tweaks boss balance and lowers absorb leak rates.

Voidface version 1.1.2 is live, bringing native Linux support, better Steam Deck performance, and multiple language additions. Solo developer abho packed the patch with quality-of-life adjustments, bug fixes, and several balance adjustments that may impact existing speedrun categories.

Platforms and Localization

Native Linux support improves performance and resolves Steam Deck issues, with save files now transferable between Windows and Linux. Russian, Ukrainian, and German localizations are added, and the official game soundtrack is available to purchase on Steam with two bonus tracks.

Gameplay and Combat Adjustments

Full Game Double receives a nerf with 10 percent less damage over the same duration, while Absorb leak rates are lowered and various bullets deal more damage during absorption. Several boss encounters see adjustments, including a delay to phase changes during the parasite melee attack in Intro 3, a reduced shield value on Chaos 1 spider webbers, and a redesign of the Showdown flower spiral attack. Golden times are tweaked across multiple levels, including Intro 1, Classic 3, Chaos 1, Chaos 3, and Hardcore.

Quality of Life and Bug Fixes

Players can reset best times from the stats menu, and these records now display the game version on which they were achieved. The death screen allows free camera movement to inspect boss health bars and attacks, deleting save files no longer strips Steam achievements, and user settings no longer sync to Steam Cloud.

Why this patch matters

Version 1.1.2 makes Voidface accessible on portable hardware while delivering targeted balance passes and quality-of-life features.
