Virballs Holiday Update Adds Dr. Corvid's Lab and Christmas Candy Skins
Virballs receives a holiday update featuring a new challenge sandbox mode, Christmas skins, and interface tweaks. Players can access six distinct wave survival and exterminate challenges through the world menu.
The Virballs Holiday Update brings fresh content to the game, highlighted by the debut of Dr. Corvid's Lab. This challenge sandbox mode is now accessible via the world menu using a mouse or gamepad, offering players six unique challenges ranging in difficulty. Alongside the new mode, good Orbs receive a Christmas Candy skin, and tracking elements receive quality-of-life improvements.
Dr. Corvid's Lab Challenge Mode
Six new challenges are now available in the sandbox mode. Enter The Inferno tasks players with fighting flame-based Virball combinations using only the Fire Virball Core across three waves. Survival of the Squishiest tests the Water Core against water-element combinations in three waves. Quarantine requires players to eliminate 100 continuously spawning Virballs within 100 seconds. Plumbing Duty features four waves of pipe-clearing against massive Virball clogs. Cage Match traps players in close quarters with limited ammo against an enormous opponent for 60 seconds. Gas Leak challenges players to track down stray Air Virballs and clear 50 targets within 60 seconds. All cores and virballs are fully unlocked in the Sandbox until the full release.
Cosmetics and User Interface Updates
Players who qualify as good Orbs can equip the new Christmas Candy Skin from the skins menu on the pause screen. The Map View has also been updated to show both the total amount of collectable atoms and the player's current count. Additionally, the Collection Badge Obtained defect has been fixed to provide more accurate tracking.
