Vanguard Exiles Update v0.1.1.2363 Overhauls Multiplayer Quit Penalties and Unit Turn Orders
Vanguard Exiles patch v0.1.1.2363 removes first strike status from Rangers, enforces automatic match losses for early leavers, and introduces spectator improvements alongside numerous bug fixes.
Developer update v0.1.1.2363 for Vanguard Exiles brings foundational changes to unit balancing, multiplayer rules, and visual clarity. Rangers and Possessed Rangers lose their first strike status in favor of normal move orders, while multiplayer lobbies now enforce strict penalties for early departures.
Unit Balancing and Zone Rules
Rangers and Possessed Rangers no longer possess first strike capabilities and rely on standard move orders. Tactical zones receive several restrictions: first-round zones are capped at a maximum of 3 Victory Points, and undeployable zones do not retain sovereignty.
Multiplayer Penalties and Spectator Tools
Leaving or quitting a public match early automatically counts as a loss regardless of the current score, and squad ratings go into escrow upon match start. Spectators benefit from improved disconnect handling, ensuring the post-round results screen always displays for remaining players while disabling ELO rating fluctuations for observers.
Interface and Technical Fixes
A memory leak responsible for crashes during extended play sessions is resolved. The user interface now scales down to support 4:3 aspect ratios, the game remembers whether an opponent's hand is open or closed, and Skirmish game speeds automatically reset to configured options at the start of each match.
Why this patch matters
This update targets balance outliers like Ranger priority while adding stability fixes and anti-cheat measures for public matchmaking.
