Trackmania Winter Update Introduces Weekly Shorts, Challenges, and UI Tweaks
Trackmania launches its Winter update featuring Weekly Shorts, a new Challenges track type, and a Top Secret mode for competitive solo play. A 25-track Winter campaign is also scheduled to drop on January 1st.
The Trackmania Winter update arrives with fresh ways to race, highlighted by the introduction of Weekly Shorts and user-focused interface optimizations. Weekly Shorts provides five new community-made tracks every Sunday, supported by a revamped menu system and a track review platform.
Weekly Shorts and Challenge Tracks
Weekly Shorts launches new tracks every Sunday at 6 PM CET, playable in solo, online, and local multiplayer modes. Club Access players can access all Weekly Shorts from launch, while Starter Access players enjoy the active campaign. A new menu button simplifies launching tracks directly into hotseat local multiplayer for single-controller consoles. The update introduces the Challenges track type, designed with clear physics obstacles meant to encourage multiple attempts across more than 250 annual courses. Creators can submit tracks through a dedicated Weekly Shorts Track Review based on length, readability, challenge, and fun.
Top Secret Mode and Rating Improvements
The Top Secret feature hides best times and ghosts until the weekly hunting period ends every Sunday at 6 PM CET, encouraging secret training and strategy. Track of the Day adds a like/dislike rating feature to improve fairness for mappers and help review servers identify reliable raters. Additionally, a refreshed user interface accompanies the update, and a 25-track Winter campaign releases on January 1st at 5 PM CET.
Why this patch matters
The Winter update expands Trackmania's regular content cadence with bite-sized weekly challenges and strategic hidden leaderboards while setting the stage for the upcoming seasonal campaign.
