THE FINALS Update 5.6.0 Adjusts Quick Cash Spawns and Winch Claw
THE FINALS Update 5.6.0 slows down Quick Cash match pacing by adjusting respawn wave durations and spawn behavior. The patch updates Winch Claw mechanics, adds giftable outfits, and introduces DISSUN-themed store items.
THE FINALS rolls out Update 5.6.0, bringing matchmaking adjustments to Quick Cash and Cashout alongside specialisation tweaks and quality-of-life additions. Players can also explore new DISSUN store items and Lunar New Year cosmetics.
Mode and Spawn Adjustments
Quick Cash maximum respawn wave duration increases from 25 seconds to 30 seconds, and the wave timer increment for players dying right before a wave increases from 5 seconds to 7 seconds. Spawn behavior in Quick Cash and Cashout is updated to prevent teams from spawning directly next to enemies or too far from objectives.
Combat and Specialisation Changes
The Winch Claw now cancels and blocks vaulting for opponents upon successful hits. Jump pads correctly launch players traveling on ziplines instead of dropping them, and using a jump pad alongside the sword secondary attack launches players to the intended distance. A bug where dual blades got stuck swinging only once after swapping from deployables is fixed.
Weapons, Animation, and Equipment
Lewis Gun and M60 red dot sights receive a visual recoil reduction. Gifting is expanded to allow players to send full outfits to friends. Club menus feature a quick navigation icon, and party-up requests appear in the event log.
Stability and Performance
Private matches allow spectators to reconnect while paused, with fixed input issues and retained camera rotation when switching to freefly. Anti-cheat detection rules are refined and updated.
Why this patch matters
Update 5.6.0 targets the pacing of cash modes while tightening up weapon interactions and specialisation utility.
