THE FINALS Update 5.12 Launches with Model 1887 Buffs and Bonus XP Fiesta
THE FINALS Update 5.12 introduces the Bonus XP Fiesta event, buffs the Model 1887 and Recurve Bow, and implements numerous map geometry and UI fixes.
THE FINALS has launched Update 5.12, replacing the Team Deathmatch event with a seasonal Bonus XP Fiesta while delivering weapon balance adjustments and performance fixes.
Bonus XP Fiesta Event
Running until the end of the season, the Bonus XP Fiesta grants 200 percent XP for Daily Contracts and up to 150 percent bonus XP and Fans for general gameplay.
Weapon Balance Changes
The Model 1887 shotgun receives a damage increase from 11 to 12 per pellet alongside a faster lever-action animation duration of 0.8 seconds, boosting its fire rate from 70 RPM to 75 RPM. The Recurve Bow's maximum draw damage per shot rises from 120 to 124, while its base damage remains at 60.
Map Adjustments and Navigation
Kyoto sees destruction tweaks to support server performance, alongside lowered broken bamboo stumps to ease traversal. Bernal gains thicker cinder block walls for smoother movement, and Fortune Stadium adjusts Mall beam collisions to stop players from getting trapped in wedge geometry. Skyway Stadium fixes invisible floor collisions in the Hotels area, while Las Vegas adjusts jump pad flow and player spawns between the Glamora and Eastwood casinos.
Performance, Rendering, and Settings
High and epic-quality reflections receive visual enhancements in game intro sequences. A new No AA resolution scaling option completely disables anti-aliasing and temporal scaling. Additionally, AMD Anti-Lag 2 support is now available, and performance is improved for players dealing with large friends lists.
