THE FINALS Update 4.5.0 Introduces Treat Hunt Event and Weapon Balance

THE FINALS Update 4.5.0 kicks off the Treat Hunt event with a Reward Wheel, introduces Ruby ranks to leaderboards, and adjusts the Model 1887 and XP-54.

THE FINALS Update 4.5.0 launches the Halloween-themed Treat Hunt collection event, adds the Ruby tier to competitive leaderboards, and adjusts weapon balance for the Model 1887 and XP-54.

Treat Hunt Event and Reward Wheel

The Treat Hunt event introduces the Reward Wheel, replacing traditional store purchases for event cosmetics. Players earn up to three tickets daily by completing contracts to spin the wheel. Every spin guarantees a unique reward or refunds VRs if a duplicate is rolled. Collecting all items grants the Stealth Specter Bundle grand prize. The event runs for two weeks.

Competitive and Progression Changes

A new Ruby level has been added to the top 500 leaderboards. The VR cap has been increased from 3000 to 5000. For sponsors, fan earning rates are increased by 50% to 100% depending on action type, but earning fans via the Healing Beam has been disabled to prevent exploits.

Weapon Adjustments

The Model 1887 shotgun receives range nerfs to curb its high usage in skilled tiers. Inner pellet radius increases from 0.45 to 0.65, outer pellet radius increases from 1.3 to 1.7, and the damage falloff multiplier drops from 65% to 60%. The XP-54 receives a range buff, with damage falloff starting distance moving from 15m to 20m and ending distance moving from 25m to 30m, alongside a falloff multiplier decrease from 65% to 62%.

Bug Fixes and UI

Cloaking Device and dematerialize refraction effects are visible again on medium effect quality. Environmental kills now register correctly when the floor is an air vent or small prop. Additional fixes resolve broken contract damage scores, misplaced weapon alternate scopes, and account linking flows for new players.

Why this patch matters

Update 4.5.0 shifts focus toward a seasonal mid-point balance pass while introducing a novel event structure through the Reward Wheel and expanding the competitive ceiling with Ruby ranks.
