THE FINALS Update 3.9.0 Fixes Leaderboard Wins and Adds Refer-a-Friend

THE FINALS update 3.9.0 introduces a refer-a-friend program with Multibucks rewards, a new merchandise store, and a community cash-out challenge. The patch also fixes a leaderboard win-counting bug.

Embark Studios has deployed update 3.9.0 for THE FINALS. This release introduces social programs, a community event, and a leaderboard fix.

Community Challenge and Referral Rewards

A new community challenge tasks players with collectively cashing out $100 billion in World Tour Cashout matches to earn the DISSUN Interrupter helmet. Alongside this, the update launches a refer-a-friend program. Players can generate a unique URL through Embark ID to invite new players. Once an invited friend completes 20 rounds, both players receive 100 Multibucks for up to five referrals. A real-world merchandise store featuring game and OSPUZE gear is also launching.

Bug Fixes and UI

The patch addresses a user interface error on THE FINALS leaderboard. The board was previously miscounting wins from other game modes alongside official Tournament wins, which is now corrected.

Why this patch matters

Update 3.9.0 cleans up leaderboard stats while rolling out external community rewards and a new community milestone event.
