The Crew Motorfest Season 5 Adds Maui Map and PS5 Pro Enhancements
Season 5 launches for The Crew Motorfest, introducing the free Maui map expansion, the Year 2 Pass with the Chase Squad playlist, and dedicated support for the PS5 Pro. The massive update also refines vehicle handling, adds RPG-style performance part crafting, and brings numerous quality-of-life adjustments.
Year 2 of The Crew Motorfest kicks off with Season 5, headlined by a brand-new map expansion centered around Maui. Alongside the new destination, players get access to fresh playlists, a new Customs Mode progression, and comprehensive technical upgrades across platforms, including specific enhancements for the PS5 Pro.
Playlists, Modes, and World Additions
The Maui map expansion arrives alongside new playlists, including Made in Japan Vol. 2 and the Year 2 Pass exclusive Motorfest Chase Squad. Custom Mode now features its own dedicated progression and rewards, though previously completed events in Custom Mode before Season 5 do not count toward the new system. Grand Race and Demolition Royale rotations both incorporate new sections set on Maui, with Grand Race also receiving a new No Collision gameplay modifier.
Vehicle Customization and Progression
RPG-style crafting is introduced, allowing players to merge performance parts to obtain higher-tier parts and apply bonus sets using only three items. Street Tier performance parts above level 600 can now be equipped on Street Tier 1 vehicles, automatically scaling down to level 600 while equipped. Rear-view mirrors now function on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, while rim colors, interior objects, and livery editors receive a large wave of bug fixes.
Platform Enhancements and Visuals
The Crew Motorfest adds dedicated enhancements for the PS5 Pro, delivering 4K resolution via PSSR technology, smoother performance, and an exclusive graphics mode featuring enhanced screen reflections, lighting, and shadow quality. The update also refines volumetric cloud rendering, improves night skies, and updates lighting interactions.
Why this patch matters
Season 5 is a massive content drop that substantially expands the game world with Maui while addressing long-standing progression and performance requests.
