TerraScape Patch 1.2.0.1 Adds Weekly Challenges and Performance Improvements

TerraScape patch 1.2.0.1 introduces a new weekly challenge mode, performance boosts, scenario adjustments, and a version rollback option for Windows 7 users. The update also resolves multiplayer soft locks and card recycling errors.

TerraScape update 1.2.0.1 brings new content types, performance optimization, and bug fixes for multiplayer and scenarios. The patch also introduces a legacy engine rollback option for players on older operating systems.

New Content and System Updates

The patch adds a new weekly challenge type linked to TIDE balancing. Scenario 3 gains a new Sea Land Quest-Flow, while Scenario 9 adds Culture as an unlockable deck to prevent Treasury soft locks. Tavern influences and Henge rewards are adjusted, and Deck Tree panel icons for Keep rewards are corrected.

Performance and Technical Fixes

CPU performance sees a minor improvement, while rendering and GPU performance receive significant optimization. The layer order for in-game panels is updated. The card recycling keybind now works, undoing a Fishing Outpost correctly restores removed water blockers, and end screens now appear properly upon finishing a match.

Multiplayer and Scenario Fixes

Multiplayer VERSUS mode fixes resolve the last turn bug and proper game over checks when target points are configured. Quests no longer double-count placed special cards, and the puzzle challenge TradeScape now uses the correct biome.

DAWN-Beta Rollback Option

Due to increased engine requirements from recent updates, the previous 1.1.1.14 DAWN version is available via the Betas menu in game preferences. This version runs on Windows 7 and includes all features except weekly challenges. Players can access it by right-clicking TerraScape in Steam, selecting Properties, navigating to Betas, and choosing the DAWN build.

Why this patch matters

Patch 1.2.0.1 delivers meaningful performance gains and long-awaited scenario balance adjustments while preserving access to older engine builds.
