Team Fortress 2 Update Fixes Cosmetic Clipping, Map Exploits, and Scarecrow Health
A recent Team Fortress 2 update fixes cosmetic clipping issues involving Scout items and the Quoth hat. The patch also addresses map navigation bugs, lowers scarecrow health in Farmageddon, and resolves a human team respawn exploit in Infection.
Valve has released a minor update for Team Fortress 2 addressing various visual bugs, cosmetic clipping conflicts, map navigation issues, and gameplay exploits.
Cosmetic and Model Fixes
Several cosmetic items that incorrectly hid body parts have been corrected. The Guano and Batbelt no longer hide the Scout's dog tags, The Beacon from Beyond no longer hides multiple bodygroups, and the Quoth cosmetic item no longer hides the Scout's headphones. Additionally, broken materials for farm prop gibs have been repaired, a hat style was added for the Fuel Injector, and the Clue Hairdo smoke effect was fixed.
Map Adjustments and Balance
On pd_farmageddon, scarecrows have had their health reduced from 500 to 350 following the revocation of their gym membership. Updates were applied to koth_synthetic_event with edited navigation mesh paths to prevent the Toastmaster from diving into death pits. Updates were also pushed for zi_atoll, zi_blazehattan, zi_devastation_final1, zi_murky, zi_sanitarium, and zi_woods.
Gameplay Exploit Fix
A specific exploit that allowed players to respawn as a human or play as a human on the Zombie team in Infection mode has been resolved.
Why this patch matters
This minor patch cleans up lingering cosmetic clipping bugs, trims scarecrow health on Farmageddon, and closes a zombie mode team exploit.
