Team Fortress 2 Patch Fixes Server Crashes and Map Exploits

Team Fortress 2 receives an update that patches a server-crashing Dragon's Fury exploit and adjusts map collision, spawn triggers, and item cosmetics.

Team Fortress 2 has a new update available. The patch applies automatically on restart and fixes a server crash tied to the Dragon's Fury, alongside map adjustments and cosmetic fixes.

Combat and Stability

An exploit allowing the Dragon's Fury to crash game servers is fixed. The update also addresses a Sandwich Diner war paint regression and resolves vphysics console spam.

Map Adjustments

On koth_sawmill_event, losing teams get new respawn room portals. The patch fixes an unusable RED teleport spawn, corrects a floor-stuck bug on moving trains, stops players from shooting through balcony railings, and adds missing nobuild zones to rooftops and stairs. Maps including zi_atoll, zi_blazehattan, zi_devastation_final1, zi_murky, zi_sanitarium, and zi_woods receive trigger and clipping fixes.

Cosmetics and Particles

The General's Greatcoat gets a new No Grenades style, and The Damage Dealer has updated style names. Unusual effects Flor de Muerto and Electric Impulse receive fixes for clutter and visibility. The Hat of Undeniable Wealth and Respect now shows its BLU skin and correct materials. Certain minor particles are now classified as weather effects that can be turned off.

Why this patch matters

This update fixes a critical server crash, cleans up map geometry errors, and addresses visual bugs on cosmetics and particle effects.
