Team Fortress 2 Patch Fixes Heavy And Sniper Movement Exploit

The latest Team Fortress 2 update fixes a movement speed exploit for Heavy and Sniper, removes overtime on ctf_medi_evil, and adjusts multiple map timers and contracts.

Valve has pushed a new update for Team Fortress 2, addressing several exploits, localization strings, and map rules. Players will receive the patch automatically upon restarting the game.

Exploits And Combat Fixes

An exploit allowing Heavy and Sniper to move at full speed while aiming has been fixed. Additionally, a community fix from Chickenman456 corrects an incorrect lightwarp on Scout Crazy Legs, and another community fix by Skull resolves an issue involving capturing points while using the Pain Train as a pumpkin.

Map Adjustments And Rules

The ctf_medi_evil map timer increases from eight to ten minutes, and overtime has been removed. Updates have also been applied to cp_wildcat_event, and global audio bugs for Jack-o'-Potion appear and break sounds are resolved.

Contracts And Cosmetics

The Collect a Halloween Pumpkin contract objective is replaced by Kill with a pumpkin bomb. On ctf_medi_evil, that objective is further replaced by Get 5 kills in a single life. The update also adds missing zi_ strings, restores missing voice lines for the Taunt: One-Eyed Punt!, updates the Skeleton Crew with a missed second style, and fixes visibility problems for the Autumn Breeze Unusual effect.

Why this patch matters

This update patches notable movement exploits and cleans up leftover Halloween contract and audio bugs, keeping matches fair without altering core weapon balance.
