Tale of Specters: Joseon 1592 Demo Update Adds Languages and Terrain Tactics

Solo developer Leon updated the Tale of Specters: Joseon 1592 demo with Simplified Chinese and Latin American Spanish support alongside new tactical features for terrain, including environmental damage and line-of-sight blocking.

Solo developer Leon released a new update for the Tale of Specters: Joseon 1592 demo, introducing language options, interface adjustments, and combat mechanics that tie directly into surrounding terrain.

Combat and Terrain Adjustments

Ranged attacks using bows and muskets are now blocked when a wall or rock base stands directly in front of the target. Covered tiles appear in black during the aiming phase. Pushing enemies into lower ground inflicts fall damage, while slamming units into walls, rocks, or other characters triggers collision damage. Direction arrows for pushes along with expected fall and collision damage values now display while aiming.

General Improvements and Bug Fixes

Simplified Chinese and Latin American Spanish languages are added and can be toggled through the options menu. The success rate for recruiting captives has been increased, and HP bar visual effects are revised alongside general story and presentation tweaks. Title screen windows can now be closed using the Escape key or a right-click.

Why this patch matters

The demo update gives players better tactical tools for positioning and environmental hazard management while expanding accessibility with new languages.
