Stardew Valley Update 1.6.13 Adjusts Pond Profits and Fixes Controller Bugs
Stardew Valley patch 1.6.13 nerfs overly lucrative legendary fish ponds and fixes a bug that redirected all phone calls to Robin. The update also upgrades SDL for input handling and introduces a new tool sound modding field.
Developer ConcernedApe has released a minor bug-fixing update for Stardew Valley. Version 1.6.13 addresses economy exploits, controller connectivity quirks, and phone routing errors.
Economy and Visual Adjustments
Legendary fish placed inside fish ponds were generating more profit than intended, and their payout has now been reduced. On the visual side, signs placed on top of legendary fish ponds no longer display a floating "1" underneath the fish sprite.
Bug Fixes and Navigation
A frustrating bug introduced in version 1.6.9 that routed all incoming phone calls directly to Robin has been corrected. NPCs can once again walk properly over the beach bridge. Controller rumble issues are also resolved, and the game now supports a wider variety of controller types alongside an SDL update from 2.30.4 to 2.30.9.
Modding Support
Mod authors gain a new tool.PlayUseSounds field, which makes it possible to disable sound effects for specific individual tools.
Why this patch matters
Version 1.6.13 is a clean sweep of lingering post-1.6 bugs, restoring normal phone functionality and patching up minor economy oversights.
