Stardew Valley Update 1.6.11 Fixes Animal Disappearances and Controller Bugs

Stardew Valley update 1.6.11 addresses missing farm animals, fixes dialogue responsiveness, and resolves controller furniture removal bugs. Modders also receive new chat command logging tools.

Update 1.6.11 is live for Stardew Valley, targeting several bugs related to farm management, user inputs, and stability. The patch addresses vanishing farm animals, fixes an issue where villagers ignored the first attempt to speak with them, and resolves a controller limitation that prevented players from grabbing wall furniture.

Gameplay and Bug Fixes

Farm animals no longer disappear in rare cases. NPCs now respond the first time you talk to them instead of requiring a second interaction. Controller users can once again grab and move furniture directly from walls.

Technical and Modding Updates

OpenAL has been updated to the latest version to prevent a rare crash. For players using mods, entering the /unlinkPlayer chat command now writes technical information directly to the log. Redundant light source warnings have also been disabled.

Why this patch matters

Update 1.6.11 is a maintenance patch that clears away input and stability snags for both vanilla and modded farmers.
