Stardew Valley Patch 1.6.10 Fixes Crashes and Mod Issues

Stardew Valley 1.6.10 addresses bugs introduced in the recent 1.6.9 update, resolving crashes involving mine transitions, lost item shops, and map tilesheet loading for mods.

Following up on the large 1.6.9 rollout, developer ConcernedApe has released patch 1.6.10 for Stardew Valley to iron out several immediate technical issues and translation errors.

Crash Fixes and Stability

This patch fixes a crash that occurred when the lost items shop sold Penny's 14-heart event items, as well as a rare crash during multiplayer mine level transitions. It also resolves an issue where chickens disappeared on newly created Meadowlands farms generated in 1.6.9.

Modding and Localization

Map tilesheet loading changes from 1.6.9 have been reverted to fix compatibility problems for mod authors. Additionally, the update prevents a crash that happened when generating furniture items from invalid item IDs, and improves select French and Russian translations.

Why this patch matters

Patch 1.6.10 cleans up the 1.6.9 update by fixing progression stoppers and mod stability without adding new gameplay features.
