Stardew Valley 1.6.15 Patch Upgrades Legendary Fish Ponds and Fixes Saves
Stardew Valley patch 1.6.15 boosts legendary fish pond output, adds inventory sorting buttons to fridges, and resolves several serious save data corruption bugs.
Stardew Valley update 1.6.15 brings a batch of bug fixes, economy tweaks, and quality-of-life adjustments to the game. Alongside crash fixes for crab pots, farm animals, and multiplayer warping, the update buffs legendary fish ponds and refines text filters.
Economy and Quality of Life
Legendary fish ponds now produce roe more often and offer a higher average daily value. Players can access the Junimo bundle button directly from standard and mini-fridge interfaces. Debris can no longer spread underneath giant crops, and bad-word filtering on extra text boxes now applies strictly to platforms that require it.
Gameplay and Save Integrity
A new-game data corruption issue that copied data from existing load slots when viewing the load screen has been fixed. Pre-1.6 saves with case-sensitive stat key conflicts now load correctly by merging conflicting stats. Krobus's shop is accessible on Fridays for Japanese players, lost and found items are retrievable, and players no longer lose their selected tool when obtaining a stardrop.
Stability and Crash Fixes
Multiple errors have been resolved, including crashes tied to collecting empty crab pots, farm animals occupying multiple locations, sound effect playback failures, and a raccoon menu crash triggered by base flavored items in the inventory. Rare crashes in the Calico Jack minigame and empty shop item listings are also gone.
Multiplayer Fixes
Co-op sessions see improvements with fixes for mail repeatedly re-sent to farmhands daily, host mine levels freezing in time, and invite codes containing restricted words blocking server entry. Farmhands passing out while warping between locations no longer crash the game, and chat commands such as unlinkPlayer now target the intended player rather than the first one.
Modding and Localization
Modded players gain support for larger-capacity fridges, fixed interior doors when waking up in specific locations, and corrected building seasons matching their physical location. Localization updates improve Hungarian, Japanese, and Russian translations, remove a Russian railroad sign box, and fix broken dialogue commands.
Why this patch matters
Version 1.6.15 cleans up lingering issues from the 1.6 release while making legendary fish ponds more profitable.
