RuneScape: Dragonwilds Update 1.0.1 Adds Jump Attacks, Ranged Subclass Perks, and Inventory Space
RuneScape: Dragonwilds update 1.0.1 introduces a catch-up mechanic for corrupted character saves, inventory expansion to 40 slots, and a jump attack system. The patch also deploys dedicated ring and amulet slots alongside dozens of weapon and bug fixes.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds has received its 1.0.1 update, targeting world save issues while overhauling combat movement, weapon subclasses, and inventory management. Players facing corrupted character saves now have access to a recovery mechanic granting aggregated stats and Tier 4 gear.
Combat Overhauls and Jump Attacks
The update introduces the Jump Attack mechanic. Unlocked via the Death From Above skill tree perk, players can now plunge downward with equipped weapons when slightly above a double jump arc. Ranged combat receives dedicated subclass variants. Shortbows gain Rapid Fire to hop backward and loose three shots, Longbows gain Power Shot to draw a long-distance bolt from a knee stance, and Crossbows fire Heavy Bolts that apply on-hit enchanted effects. Additionally, landing lower-body shots with ranged weapons now inflicts Hamstrung to slow enemy movement.
Inventory and Equipment Quality of Life
Inventory space increases from 32 to 40 slots. Dedicated slots for rings and amulets are now available in the UI. Players can also utilize a Completed Quests tab to track past outcomes, an Ultra Compost Bin, and a Large Compost Bucket. Sorting functionality has been updated to support weight, type, and latest pickup parameters.
World Balancing and Enemy Tweaks
Enemy aggro ranges across the game have been reduced to prevent large enemy trains, and mob respawn timers are extended to keep cleared zones stable longer. Obstacles and enemies now correctly respawn inside the Scorned Wilderness Raid upon reset. Mining nodes received a polish pass to ensure they sit above ground and remain accessible.
System and Fixes
Keybind rebinding for soft-lock-prone settings like interaction, building cancel, and quest dialogue has been removed. UI scaling is now accessible across all platforms. Rune arrows and bolts now deal higher damage than adamant projectiles at a 4.9x multiplier compared to 4.2x.
Why this patch matters
Update 1.0.1 addresses critical save game stability while directly expanding inventory capacity and refining combat options for melee and ranged builds.
