RimWorld Update 1.6.4630 Resolves Pocket Map Shuttles and Ghoul Serums
A targeted RimWorld update fixes pocket map shuttle landing locations, ghoul serum usage, and metalhorror timer consistency.
Ludeon Studios deployed update 1.6.4630 for RimWorld, focusing entirely on bug fixes and technical optimizations across base gameplay and expansions. The update is compatible with existing savegames and mods.
Shuttle and Pocket Map Fixes
Shuttles arriving to collect pawns located inside pocket maps will now land on the parent map rather than causing pathing errors. Shuttles will no longer depart prematurely if all pawns on a map enter a pocket map, and out-of-bounds shuttle landing issues have been corrected.
Gameplay and Mechanics Corrections
Ghouls can now use serums correctly via right-click options, preventing mechs from erroneously triggering them through gizmos. Metalhorror gray flesh timers now properly respect VTR settings, and wasp stuns no longer affect mechs or turrets. Furthermore, killing pawns via psychic slaughter now correctly impacts faction goodwill.
Interface and Performance Fixes
Selecting large numbers of beds in late-game colonies no longer triggers performance drops. The patch also addresses a bug where prisoner and non-prisoner beds became mixed up after loading saves when separated by paste dispensers, alongside fixes for z-clipping world textures and UI text labels.
Why this patch matters
Update 1.6.4630 smooths out specific friction points involving shuttles, pocket maps, and late-game selection performance without altering core gameplay loops.
