Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Y9S4 Update Details Anti-Cheat and Reputation System Changes
Rainbow Six Siege details anti-cheat metrics, MouseTrap console penalties, automated text moderation efficacy, and upcoming reputation system impacts.
Ubisoft has released an update on player protection systems for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege during Operation Collision Point, detailing anti-cheat telemetry, console input detection, and anti-toxicity metrics.
Console MouseTrap Penalties and Exploit Fixes
The MouseTrap anti-cheat system now forces detected spoofers using mouse and keyboard on consoles into the PC matchmaking pool with PC recoil enabled for 90 days after three detections. Developers also pushed a fix and ban wave to address client-server network lag exploits that surfaced at the start of Y9S4.
Anti-Cheat Metrics and Match Cancellation
PC cheater reports have decreased by over 40% compared to summer 2024 highs. Additionally, the Cheater Match Cancellation feature is now active, instantly terminating matches and kicking cheaters when a ban is issued.
Botting Sanctions and Binary Hardening
Botting offenses now result in a permanent ban on the first infraction due to improved detection confidence. Binary hardening efforts continue, contributing to increased offline time for major cheat providers.
Reputation System Standings and Automated Chat Moderation
The Reputation System Refresh places 1.21% of players in the Dishonorable bracket and 2.58% in Disruptive. Automated text chat moderation has reduced the probability of encountering abusive text reports by 33% and cut highly toxic text chat players by 80%.
Why this patch matters
The Y9S4 player protection updates demonstrate measurable drops in reported cheating and toxic text behavior, backed by harsher penalties like permanent botting bans and automated matchmaking adjustments.
