Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Y11S3 Mid-Season Update Adjusts Noor and Tachanka
The latest Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege update targets operator balance with major buffs for Noor and a new impact mode for Tachanka. It also adjusts utility for Solid Snake, Valkyrie, and environmental hazards.
Ubisoft is rolling out balancing changes and quality-of-life adjustments in the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Y11S3 Mid-Season Update. The patch focuses on making specific operators more responsive while tweaking environmental interactions and gadget counters across the roster.
Operator Buffs and Reworks
Noor receives multiple follow-up changes to improve survivability and his ability to counter shields. The Horus Lance Launcher drills faster at 1.5 seconds down from 2 seconds on ballistic shields, soft surfaces, and solid surfaces. Guardbreak strength on projectile impact against ballistic shields increases to 100 percent from 30 percent, equip animation timings drop to 0.4 seconds from 0.9 seconds using quickdraw animations, and impact damage against an operator rises to 80 from 50. The launcher also features hitbox improvements and deals damage to ballistic shield operators during their removal animation. Tachanka's Shumikha Launcher adds a new firing mode that triggers incendiary grenades on impact, allowing players to choose between the new impact mode and the traditional bouncing behavior. Valkyrie gains the Glaive-12 secondary weapon to create lines of sight more quickly and from further away.
Utility and Gadget Adjustments
Solid Snake sees his Soliton Radar Mk III precision mode charges reduced to 3 from 4. Capitão's Fire Bolt expansion delay drops to 0.9 seconds from 1 second. Clash receives a buff to her CCE Shield Mk2, increasing the slowdown strength when enemies run away from her to 10 percent from 5 percent. Osa's Talon-8 Clear Shield has reduced deployment restrictions to allow placement in a wider range of situations. Barbed Wire now acts as a counter to BU-GIs, causing them to become entangled, stop completely, and self-destruct. Defenders also no longer lose points for destroying their own Barbed Wire.
Environmental Changes
Fire-based hazards across the game increase in lethality, raising damage to 14 hp from 12 hp to ensure standing in or crossing fire carries more immediate consequences.
Why this patch matters
The Y11S3 update directly addresses responsiveness for underperforming picks like Noor while giving players more versatility with Tachanka and Valkyrie.
