Rainbow Six Siege Patch Y9S4.1 Fixes Operator and UI Bugs
Ubisoft deploys patch Y9S4.1 for Rainbow Six Siege, delivering numerous bug fixes across operators, map levels, and user interfaces alongside platform download sizes.
Ubisoft has released patch Y9S4.1 for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. The update addresses operator interactions, map geometry, interface glitches, and audio discrepancies across all platforms.
Operator Fixes
Blackbeard receives multiple corrections for his H.U.L.L Adaptable Shield. These fixes target clipping issues with the SR-25, shield retention after rappelling reloads, third-person aim down sight desyncs, and vaulting interactions with Osa's shield. Blackbeard is also corrected so he now gets pushed back when colliding with Oryx's Remah Dash. Skopós's idle V10 Pantheon Shell receives fixes for spawning properly and deploying shields correctly on the Stadium Alpha map. Osa, Buck, Blitz, and Montagne receive corrections for thumbnail previews, elite skin details, and missing animations.
Gameplay and Lobby Corrections
Custom lobbies no longer prevent squad leaders from selecting banned operators. Gadget recharge timer animations grey out properly when remaining charges hit zero. Brava's Kludge Drone and Twitch's Shock Drone have recovered their missing preview toggle contexts. The task system in the Shooting Range during Siege Cup or matchmaking no longer appears empty on first selection. Players can see teammate sprint animations in support mode, and hard breach charges no longer float while being destroyed on Azami's Kiba Barrier.
Level Design and Audio Fixes
On the Bank map, cubicle walls in the first-floor open area no longer disappear when viewed from the exterior back alley. Skybox lighting is brightened on several maps where it previously appeared too dark. Audio fixes ensure Blackbeard plays proper sound effects when entering a window with his shield equipped, opponent sprinting audio matches actual animations, and bomb audio no longer plays prematurely on loading screens before the preparation phase.
User Interface Fixes
Battle point counters no longer display negative or unusually high numbers after PvP matches, and post-action report boosts display correctly. Reputation menu placeholders, missing custom game button text, and broken bundle modal titles for Thorn and Sledge are resolved. Reverse friendly fire icons are visible to players even if they have active penalties themselves, and disconnected players receive abandon sanctions when matches are cancelled.
Why this patch matters
Y9S4.1 is a corrective maintenance patch that clears out visual bugs, collision errors, and UI anomalies.
