Pocket Wheels Demo Update Adds Steam Deck Support and UI Upgrades

Pocket Wheels receives a demo update introducing Steam Deck support, a dedicated Steam store page for feedback, and visual and control improvements ahead of the Wholesome Games Steam Celebration.

Pocket Wheels has released an update for the game's demo, coinciding with participation in the Wholesome Games Steam Celebration. The update brings hardware compatibility updates, visual overhauls, and quality-of-life adjustments.

Platform Support and Interface

The demo features native Steam Deck support. Linux support is dropped in favor of Proton. A user interface displays collected coins, batteries, and best times. Players can manually select controller icons. A new logo, end screen, and level introduction cutscene are added.

Visuals and Controls

Color grading is revised to provide a brighter appearance, and shadows are reworked. Animation feedback is increased across actions. Controls are fine-tuned based on player feedback.

Community Integration

A dedicated Steam store page for the demo allows players to submit reviews and feedback directly through Steam, alongside the existing Discord server channel.

Why this patch matters

This demo update modernizes Pocket Wheels with better handheld compatibility and clearer tracking tools while establishing direct feedback channels on Steam.
