Planet Zoo 2 Post-Release Update Addresses Technical Issues and Franchise Stability

Planet Zoo 2 receives its first post-release update targeting DLSS, audio, keybinds, and upcoming server maintenance for Franchise mode.

Planet Zoo 2 has rolled out its first post-release update following launch. The patch addresses technical concerns such as DLSS and FSR performance, audio distortion, keybinds, and overall stability, while scheduled maintenance approaches for online modes.

Technical Fixes and Performance

The post-release patch tackles hardware scaling fixes for DLSS and FSR. It also resolves audio distortion issues, improves keybind configuration options, and addresses stability errors.

Franchise Mode Maintenance

Planet Zoo 2 has planned maintenance scheduled for Thursday, October 15, starting at 07:00 BST. The downtime will last approximately one hour, during which online features like Franchise mode and the Workshop will be offline. Recent backend changes have already targeted Franchise mode stability and increased animal availability in Animal Trading.

Accreditation Mechanics Clarified

Developers addressed confusion regarding accreditation ratings, confirming that Career mode and Franchise mode ratings operate independently. Career accreditation increases through scenario and Wildlife Reserve medals, while Franchise accreditation grows via high Zoo Reputation and Biodiversity Ratings.

Usability Features

The item browser includes an Essentials filter designed to help players locate functional items like donation bins and shop blueprints quickly by hiding non-essential props.

Why this patch matters

The patch addresses immediate performance friction at launch while setting up server maintenance to stabilize online animal trading and Franchise servers.
