Phasmophobia Update v0.10.1.0 Swaps Voice Chat and Fixes Point Hope
Phasmophobia v0.10.1.0 shifts multiplayer voice chat to Vivox, introduces a temporary photo deletion system, and fixes numerous map bugs on Point Hope.
Phasmophobia patch v0.10.1.0 replaces the underlying multiplayer voice chat system, adds a temporary mechanism to clean up journal photos, and resolves multiple collision and navigation issues across the game, particularly on the Point Hope map.
Voice Chat and Audio
Multiplayer voice communication now runs on Vivox instead of Photon Voice, featuring higher audio quality, echo cancellation, noise suppression, and support for a wider microphone and headphone range. Voice recognition remains unchanged. The update also fixes single-player ghost hearing issues, keeps global chat from stopping unexpectedly, and lowers the volume of the Tanglewood landline phone and airball ghost events.
Journal Photos and Quality of Life
Players can now remove up to two non-3-star photos from the journal during multiplayer sessions via a voting system and dedicated journal UI. This is a temporary fix ahead of a major photo rework. Other quality of life changes include allowing dead players to sprint if their setting is turned off, fixing gamepad shop input bugs, and letting VR players earn the Ferryman badge.
Point Hope and Map Fixes
Point Hope receives numerous targeted fixes. The fuse box now spawns exclusively on the entry house, kitchen, games room, and master bedroom floors. The lighthouse tent door is now visible through parabolic glass, broken fuse box sparks no longer clip through floors, and stair movement stutter, jitter, and getting stuck behind the fire gate in the games room are resolved. BHaptics support has been removed.
Ghost Behaviors and Achievements
Mimics can now trigger poltergeist and revenant achievements. Banshee stats now only count if the ghost reaches a target's position during its targeted wander, and entering a DOTS state no longer increases the ability used stat. Shades work as intended when players leave rooms, Goryo gives DOTS evidence correctly when players are absent, and spirit box responses are more consistent for lone players.
Why this patch matters
Update v0.10.1.0 solves several persistent technical headaches, replacing unstable voice architecture and cleaning up annoying collision bugs on Point Hope without shaking up core ghost-hunting strategies.
