Otterly Lost v1.0.2 Patch Notes

Otterly Lost version 1.0.2 fixes progression bugs tied to main quests, dialog triggers, and map teleports while adjusting inventory and controller UX.

Version 1.0.2 for Otterly Lost clears out progression blockers, interface bugs, and navigation glitches. The update tackles issues where completing the main story failed to properly close out quests or trigger post-game dialog options.

Progression and Quests

The main quest Restore the Balance now marks as complete after finishing the main story. Swimming courses trigger properly in Finn's dialogue after the main story concludes. Guiding tablet spirits in the Keep of Balance no longer count toward the world shrine spirits objective.

Movement and Navigation Fixes

Otto no longer gets stuck on sequoia trees while climbing trunks. Teleporting via a buoy waypoint while standing on an icy surface no longer turns all world surfaces icy. Opening the map via controller input no longer triggers unintended item tracking or teleports Otto to a buoy waypoint. The Floating Isle portal gate is unclimbable to prevent accidental teleports while in a climbing position.

Interface and Menu Fixes

The tablet spirits mechanic in the Keep of Balance no longer blocks players from opening game menus and other UI screens. The rock upgrade indicator no longer remains stuck in the inventory UI. Saving and exiting during active gameplay mechanics or dialogue no longer breaks journal entries and game flows upon reloading.

Quality of Life Improvements

Overall game performance is improved. The collection radius for spawned items is wider to prevent objects from getting stuck in environmental geometry. Otto's first rock tracks automatically during the prologue tutorial. Otto's idle animations are disabled while carrying an object, and camera clipping issues with environmental props are resolved.

Why this patch matters

This update addresses softlocks and UI bugs, making the core playthrough stable from start to finish.
