Ostranauts v0.14.3.4 Hotfix Targets Airlock Pathfinding and UI Glitches
Blue Bottle Games has released a hotfix for Ostranauts that addresses persistent airlock pathfinding restrictions and fixes right-click menu selection bugs. The update expands pathfinder tile limits to help AI navigate larger docked ships more reliably.
Blue Bottle Games has deployed update v0.14.3.4 for Ostranauts on Steam. This hotfix follows up on the Across the System update, targeting specific AI movement failures, airlock permission logic, and annoying right-click selection issues introduced in previous patches.
Airlock Movement and Pathfinding Limits
AI characters can now walk through open airlocks even if there is a pressure difference, bypassing previous permission restrictions that caused movement stalls. Additionally, pathfinders can now search up to 3,332 tiles before giving up, an increase from the previous limit of 1,511. This adjustment helps prevent AI from getting stuck or failing to navigate large or docked ships.
UI and Selection Fixes
Right-clicking world items no longer automatically selects the top-most item in a stack or defaults to hands while the paperdoll UI is open. Holding the right mouse button also stops displaying random body parts in the MegaToolTip. Furthermore, logging has been improved to make it easier to diagnose why AI fails an airlock path.
Why this patch matters
This hotfix provides immediate relief for common navigation blocks and UI frustrations, making ship management much smoother.
