Ostranauts Hotfix 0.14.0.7 Fixes Police Encounters and Venusian Spawns
Ostranauts hotfix 0.14.0.7 addresses broken police encounters, incorrect pilot spawns, and drifting derelict haulers near Venus. The update also adds safeguards to prevent NPCs from engaging in leisure activities during critical gameplay events.
Blue Bottle Games has released hotfix 0.14.0.7 for Ostranauts. Building on the Across the System update, this patch resolves multiple issues involving police interactions, automated ship towing, and NPC behavior scripts.
Police Encounter and Spawn Fixes
Police ships no longer spawn with incorrect pilot types, preventing civilian NPCs and faction brokers from initiating police stops. Police spawns around Venus are temporarily disabled because they relied on OKLG laws that caused players to get stuck. Code adjustments ensure police switch from interrogation to arrest if you attempt to undock prematurely, and officers turn hostile if you leave port with them aboard your ship.
Derelict Hauler and Navigation Fixes
Derelict haulers towing ships near Venus no longer drift endlessly into deep space due to conflicting speed limit reference stations. Haulers now correctly deploy wrecks near VORB and return home as intended. Furthermore, a bug causing empty police ships to immediately redock with the player is resolved.
NPC Behavior and Interface Fixes
NPCs instantly stop watching television or playing games when involved in important situations like police actions. The game correctly autopauses when police initiate conversations, and NPC progress bars load properly after restoring a save file.
Why this patch matters
Hotfix 0.14.0.7 restores order to system law enforcement and fixes navigation loops for Venusian hauling contracts.
