Ostranauts Hotfix 0.14.0.15 Overhauls Police Logic and Docking

Ostranauts update v0.14.0.15 arrives with fixes for police interactions, NPC ship behaviors, and docking logic. The hotfix also addresses crashes caused by high-G knockouts and corrects asteroid sizing.

Blue Bottle Games has deployed hotfix 0.14.0.15 for Ostranauts on Steam. This patch tackles a list of community-reported bugs tied to police behavior, docking procedures, and save stability.

Police and Interrogation Fixes

The patch resolves numerous issues where law enforcement officers became stuck in loops, ignored crimes, or took the player hostage on police ships. Officers now correctly recognize wanted suspects during shakedowns, end interrogations peaceably when lacking accusations, and no longer leave players wanted after paying fines in installments or undocking.

Docking and NPC Ship Stability

NPC ships with unconscious or dead crew members can no longer fly indefinitely or dock improperly. The update fixes bugs that caused ships to remain stuck in shallow loads, prevented AI ships from undocking, and allowed NPCs to dock while dead or missing navigation.

Crash Fixes and World Generation

A crash caused by an infinite loop of high-G knockouts and pain-relieving sleep cycles has been fixed. Additionally, the asteroid 1036 Ganymed now spawns at its correct size rather than twice as large, altering the boneyard layout for new games.

Interface and Item Corrections

The quick action button list now hides plot actions when players and targets reply to each other. Trader buy and sell lists no longer include invalid items, damaged cargo pods and windows retain correct variants, and maintenance tech overpopulation issues on stations have been corrected.

Why this patch matters

This comprehensive hotfix targets disruptive systemic bugs in Ostranauts regarding law enforcement loops and docking failures, though heavily corrupted older saves may still require a fresh start.
