No More Room in Hell 2 Update 0.3.0 NIGHTMARE
No More Room in Hell 2 releases Update 0.3.0, introducing weapon attachments, new Power Plant start and end scenarios, and an overhauled Nightmare difficulty with minimal HUD elements. The patch also adds a match backfill feature, reduces runner spawns, and applies extensive bug fixes.
No More Room in Hell 2 has launched Update 0.3.0, titled NIGHTMARE. This patch introduces weapon customization, randomized Power Plant objectives, a restructured difficulty system, and a backfill feature for fresh matches.
Weapon Attachments and Inventory
Firearms now support up to three attachment types across Sights, Rails, and Muzzles, managed through a dedicated attachment inventory accessible when holding a gun. Players can attach items like flashlights and suppressors, though some weapons lack attachment slots entirely or come with pre-equipped parts. Additionally, players can now unload held firearms by looking at them and pressing 'U'.
New Power Plant Scenarios
A new Power Plant start scenario replaces laptop objectives with finding three randomized radios that direct players to a key for side entrances. The original start scenario now requires disabling gate security via laptops at specific optional locations. For endings, a new scenario replaces generator repairs with fixing three types of machinery around Power Plant HQ, allowing players to carry parts individually or group up for protection.
Nightmare Difficulty and Progression
Difficulty tiers have been streamlined from five down to three: Classic, Hard, and Nightmare. Nightmare Mode removes inventory reduction modifiers while adding thick map fog, hardcore minimalist UI with no objective markers or interaction cues, fully drainable flashlight batteries, and tougher objective mini-games. A new Nightmare Prestige track records successful extractions on this difficulty.
Matchmaking and Backfill
A new backfill feature allows players to join freshly launched matches during a brief window at the start using existing matchmaking logic and spawn points. Runner zombie counts have been reduced overall, and lower difficulty levels have been made more forgiving.
Bug Fixes and Quality of Life
The patch resolves numerous client crashes, improves loading and audio flow speeds, and fixes animation glitches such as lingering third-person pipebomb poses. Environmental navigation for zombies around catwalks and stairs has been smoothed out, and various clipping issues across buildings, cars, and supply items have been eliminated.
Why this patch matters
Update 0.3.0 significantly expands tactical depth with weapon attachments and scenario variety while sharpening the punishing identity of Nightmare difficulty.
