Nivalis Nights Update v1 Fixes Quests, Staff Logic, and Performance
The first update for Nivalis Nights tackles critical progression bugs, staff automation loops, and performance issues. Players will find fixes for skill leveling, quest tracking, and camera degradation upon loading saves.
Nivalis Nights has received its first patch, arriving shortly after launch to address reported bugs and performance snags. The update rectifies broken skill progression, corrects infinite restocking loops, and smooths out quest tracking.
Progression and Quests
Business and barter skill leveling now functions correctly. Quest tracking for Ramen Noir has received clearer objectives for adding plants and decorations, which can be purchased from home furniture retailers at Eastern Residential, Hive Mall, and Central Canyon. An issue where purchasing exact shopping list quantities during the intro tutorial broke the later Fill Venue Inventory objective is now resolved.
Staff and Economy Logic
Staff members handling orders now follow an improved workflow that eliminates an exploit where orders repeated indefinitely when ingredients ran out. Manager staff behavior when purchasing ingredients has also been optimized.
Controls and Interface
Mouse controls now support lower sensitivity settings. A skip prompt has been added to travel transitions, and the Level of Detail slider can no longer be set to 0, which previously caused visual artifacts. Chess matches no longer permit castling while the king is in check.
Performance and Stability
Character actions, animations, and physics receive general performance enhancements. A bug that caused camera-related performance to degrade progressively with every loaded save file is fixed. Players are also less likely to get pushed inside geometry by other characters, and cockpit visibility on boats has been improved to reduce motion sickness.
Why this patch matters
This quick patch resolves the most glaring progression blockers and staff AI loops from launch, making the early hours much smoother while developers prep heavier optimization updates.
